Islander Sea Kayaks
Do you want to build a strong light sea kayak but you are not sure where to start? Advanced Kayak Kits has the answer. From $1495 plus freight we will supply you with a complete set of precision cut plywood panels and all the other materials you need to build your Islander kayak ready for the water. The kit includes a comprehensive construction manual with many photos, diagrams and expert tips. All you need is a few basic tools and a moderate level of woodworking skills.

And in case you were wondering why bother? Our wood composite kayaks are both stronger and lighter than equivalent fiberglass kayaks. Plus they get great reviews from both beginners and experts for their performance and handling.

The Islander Kayak Kits were developed and tested in Australia. This is a kayak stable enough for the novice to use with confidence but also fast and capable of long expeditions.
Unlike imported kayak kits that usually use plywood manufactured from rainforest timbers, we supply strong hoop pine plywood that is plantation grown in Australia and epoxy resins developed and manufactured in Australia for marine boat building.
